Welcome to the City of Villa Rica's
official site for drought related information. This website has
been developed to provide our citizens and businesses access to
the best possible resources needed to help with our efforts to
conserve water during the drought. This website is divided into
several useful pages:
Basic Information -- As always,
official notices are given on the Notices
page on the city's main web site -- www.villarica.org
. However, most of the drought related notices along with the
state and local rules and regulations are provided on this web
site on our Basic Information page.
Success
Stories -- These are not just good stories, these are
opportunities to learn ways to be successful in our water
conservation efforts. We are proud of the hard work of our
citizens and businesses and we hope you will join us in
congratulating them on their efforts.
Resources -- This section includes
both internal resources and links to external web sites with
useful information. Forms are provided to help you find ways to
save water both at home and at your business. Landscaping
exemption forms are also provided.
Water
Saving Upgrades -- Both businesses and homes can benefit
from upgrading to more modern plumbing fixtures, appliances, and
methods of handling water. This page outlines several water
saving opportunities including some you may have never heard of.
If you are aware of any other ideas that need to be passed along
here, send us feedback.
Toilets -- Do you hate toilets
that have to be flushed over and over again to get it all
down? So do we! The information provided here will help you
avoid this problem.
Urinals -- Modern urinals use
significantly less water than toilets but even more water
can be saved. Check out our page on urinals to find out
more.
Save
Water Indoors -- Simple changes can result in significant
water savings. Here are several ideas to help you save water
during normal indoor activities.

Water Outdoors -- Since we are currently under a total
outdoor watering ban, there is not much opportunity to save
water outdoors, but these tips are provided for future
consideration.
Stormwater -- Pollution from
stormwater (known as Non-point Source Pollution) has
substantially more impact on our rivers and streams than you may
think. We are beginning a vigorous program to prevent this kind
of pollution and you can help.
